Boats Bar & Grill

We’ve eaten here a few times on each of our last four visits to Barbados. Service is great, they do a fine rum punch too. The menu is tropical of a bar / restaurant - reasonably good choices - but food is always hot and flavoursome. Recommended.

It gets NO better than here. As a UK visitor, Boat has the service standard I crave and love. Fish cakes are brilliant and the whisky sour was a great suggestion

Skip this place. Waste of time. Went on a Friday night around 9pm and place was reasonably busy. Service was slow to start. Seated quickly, table set within 10min. Ordered drinks and the beer came within 5min but cocktails took 15. Ordered food. Ordered more drinks, finished them. Ordered another round and finished them. Along the way, were told food was coming multiple times. After one more round and being there for 90min, and being told the food was at least 20min since they hadn't started on it yet, we left. By that time, there were only a few people around and no one else was eating so not sure why the kitchen was so slow.

Our experience at Boats was nothing short of amazing. They had one of the best services ever from the entire staff. Ajari our waiter, was such a kind person and was happy to even recommend things to do whilst in Barbados and took his time in explaining anything we had questions about.

The food was DELICIOUS. You honestly can’t go wrong. The cocktail was divine. I got the Hurricane which is not really on the menu yet but they literally want you to have the best time. At the end, the kitchen staff even came out to see us so we can thank them properly for sparking our taste buds. Honestly recommend. 10/10

Can't fault it, called last night, Mrs had parmesan crusted mahe mahe, I had burger, both freshly prepared, great service, would definitely recommend it

Excellent food, attentive/first class service! Loved the garlic potatoes with mahi-mahi, plantain and coleslaw! A visit is highly recommended!

We dined here as Oistins on a Friday was super busy when we arrived for Fish Friday. Real good customer service, food was delicious, my daughter had the best steak she's ever eaten, I had the Mahi Mahi fish, delicious! Be aware of their cocktails, they're lethal! Fantastic place to eat, sit outside and watch the world go by.

Lovely food and friendly service. The ribs were really tender and massive! Unfortunately there was no space upstairs so we sat down by the road, but still a great place for dinner.

First time at Boats, nice friendly welcome, shown to table upstairs which was pleasant, seated by window. The decor was very nice and clean.
Had the best fish cakes, lovely and crispy on the outside.
I had mahi mahi, grilled beautifully, tasted delicious. My husband had surf and turf which he equally enjoyed.
The plates were presented well, the server attentive, but not overly so. All in all a very pleasing experience, value for money too. Would visit again.

Words cannot fully describe how lovely this entire dining experience was. From the moment we walked in the staff was welcoming, friendly and their service on point straight through the night. Their menu has a little of everything for everyone. We ordered Fishcakes and Tuna Tar Tar for the table to share and for mains I had the Vegetable Yellow Thai Curry with Basmati Rice & Plantain Chutney which spoke to my soul! So good! They have Chicken & Seafood options for this dish as well. Also tasted the Parmesan Crusted Mahi Mahi which was equally delicious, fresh and filling. Portion sizes are great and I enjoyed being Oistins but having a different, elivated & unique dining experience than the usual fish fry up. 10/10 recommend, I will be back for sure!

I had a great experience! Ordered food for takeout My wife enjoyed the ribs and i enjoyed the marlin! I definitely will be back.

Burger had great flavor and the Mahi Mahi was well seasoned. Potatoes where great! The only complaint is the size of the calamari starter. It was tiny, but delicious.

We spent 9 evenings of our 14 day holiday eating at the restaurant, the manager and staff were amazing, friendly, courteous and the food was out of this world, it made our holiday funding this gem, thank you from Gary and Claire x

The food was excellent. It was prepared fresh, they took time to exquisitely plate it, portions were just right, price was quite good I'm the staff we're very polite and well versed with the menu. The only downside was a slight wait due to a large group of persons another table. The food was well worth the wait.

Was my Birthday, had a Great time with my friends, staff was helpful. Food and drinks was Great. My second time going.

An all -round good experience. Visited during the Oistins Fish Festival. Owner is very pleasant, happy to mingle with patrons, serve drinks or food as needed, encouraged dancing, etc. Staff is friendly and accomodating. There was live music by a popular local artiste who sang both international hits and songs from his own catalog. 4/5 Stars

The staff was amazing, my waitress was extremely polite and patient (sorry I can’t rmr her name).

Omg, I’ve heard a chef mentioned (the old lady makes the best fishcakes) lol I’ve always wanted to try them so I had too!
The fishcakes were crispy on the outside and extremely fluffy on the inside they were sooo good!
The siracha wings were also amazing and our main courses.
The fishcakes were 1000/10.

Dinner and drinks were great. Excluding the heat and lack of air on the balcony it was a good experience.

Ruhige Location mit gutem Essen und Cocktails mit ordentlichem Alkoholgehalt. Ich hatte den Catch-of-the-day (Marlin), der mich geschmacklich wirklich umgehauen hat. Der Fisch selbst war exzellent abgeschmeckt und die Soße zum Reis vorzüglich!
