Massy Stores Supemarket Oistins opiniones
44Ok when it was in operation. Now under renovations for about three (3) months. Will open back sometime in September 2019. Will be smaller in size, but I am sure it will look really nice. A little pricey, but still looking forward for the reopening after renovations. I only gave a one star because its under renovations. Mostlikely, I will up it to a three or four star, when it reopens.
Notices 9n the windows says closed for refurbishment (no date suggested for reopen). 4 buses a day to take you to the other store 5km away. Staff say they doubt it will reopen.
Have visted since the store has been renovated and not only is the store half it's size the prices at Massy stores in general are expensive. When in Barbados I shop at Popular Supermarket which is far cheaper.
Well stocked supermarket. Good for shopping in Barbados. A bit expensive, but will find a mixture of American and local products.
Miniscule when compared to what I've become accustomed to during the Super Centre era
Options very limited and space is very small (more of a minimart)
You still find popular brands but the prices are a bit high end
The staff are not very customer friendly, hardly any smiles or greetings
I'm not a huge fan of the layout here, I find it hard to find items and the selection isn't as good.
It's OK, my only problem are the prices. If I normally get something for $3 and I have to go there I will end up paying between $5/7 for it. The staff are very friendly though.
An OK grocery store. Selection is not bad but things like fruits and vegetables can be a problem with freshness and ripeness.
Nice, clean, new.but WAY TOO SMALL for the people of Oistins and the tourists! Really just a large convenience store instead of a supermarket! We were extremely disappointed when returning this winter after the store was renovated!
It's OK. Not as good a selection as in Massy Worthing and not as cheap as Popular Discounts in Kendal Hill, but conveniently located if you're staying in this area. Take-out cafeteria is good value Barbadian food, though if you want fish it doesn't compare to Oistins Bay Gardens just across the street.
Conveniently in the heart of Oistins and carrying all major food produce but a little on the pricy side.
I'm accustomed shopping at Massy Supermarket Oistins, prices have increased so it makes shopping a little more difficult financially, but a variety of items to choose from and it's convenient for me. Cashier was very pleasant and helpful @ register #1 on the 20th July 2021 @ 10: 30am, can't remember her name.
Massy stores does not sell a large variety of items. You dont really have much choice. There is a shuttle but it does not follow a schedule. The driver is a bit on the unfriendly side. Some staff are also not helpful. A lot of chatting on hhe isle goes on.
Very clean and has a large variety of products. I don't mind paying for convenience sometimes for items I need as they are available here.
There's usually a decent selection of fresh fruits and produce here. The decor and layout could do with updating.
UPDATE: Someone saw my review and updated the decor. It gets another star
They have most of your needs. I would visit the vendors near the fish market for fruits and veggies first and get the rest of my groceries at Massys.
Good store to get what you need while visiting the island and an okay walk from the Sandals. It is always interesting to me to see what is expensive and what is not compared to home.
Got what we needed at average prices to make breakfast and lunches at our rental. They do charge 10 cents a bag, so bring your own or pay for a bag. The wheat bread has raisins in it, unfortunately learned that after we opened it later.
This location has just been renovated and offers a much better visual experience and flow.the selection is decent and the staff is terrific.
Good chain of supermarkets across the island. This particular store has been remodeled at some point since my previous visits over 18 months ago. Good stockists of fresh produce and frozen with plenty of imported USA goods. Only down side is the prices. You can get the odd special deal but in general its expensive but so is every other place across Barbados, the current exchange rate does help.
Staff friendly and helpful.
