Popular and"Popular"it is. This place is always full of shoppers. You can find a large variety of items priced to suit the customer.

My experience was great, however the trolley boys I does sorry for them, I observe a woman cuss out a boy just because he told her that she would have to hold on for a trolley, she replied that they should be out here and that she can't f ing wait

That is why Popular Discounts is called Popular Discounts, it is because it is popular with the people and the discounts are endless, in these times of negatives happening around us Popular Discounts is definitely a positive for your family, business, financial situations, health as far as eating right is concerned and maybe helping someone who may not be working or may not have a lot to spend.

I went to ch ch this evening an the cashier was very disrespectful I told her I want $1.00 in bags for my stuff an she look at me an gave me 2bags I told her it was not enough cause am walking so I want them double she got upset an leave me there standing up i was on the 1-10 line sum of urll cashier's at ch ch they are not nice at all

The wait in the sun "was it was" for the lockdown situation. Lines moved freely for a while then stopped longer. Got through quickly when in and had a honest cashier"thanks". Going to the carpark also helpful gentleman moving the trolleys to put groceries in car.

What's the point of the security signing my bill? Y'all see PriceSmart doing it so y'all wanna do it too? She still doesn't know what's in my trolley. I literally just left cashier. Make it make sense.

MOST horrible customer service. Employees are lacking in all aspects and clearly do not want to be there. Items are missing all the time. BASIC items like milk, onions, mozzarella cheese, carrots, etc.
If I could give the place zero stars, I would. Super slow to get to the cashier, because they are slow and lazy and don’t want to do their job. Same with packers, ended up packing my groceries alone. Brought it up to the manager on duty and she didn’t seem to care at all and was not apologetic at all. WORST customer service on the island.

Compared to prices in Canada, not that cheap but that is the whole island not specific to it. Crowded and the checkout is very slow. Maybe because of the holidays. Other than that, found what we wanted.

Needs to teach the cashiers, check outs, supervisors and guards how to speak to customers and handle any issues that may arise. I had a terrible experience in there this morning myself and 2 other friends I have never felt so disrespected in my life. There is a way to speak to people and it was not showcased this morning

There were many positives such as the regular amenities e.g ample parking, clean surroundings, security, friendly staff,
- for the most part - well stocked shelves, clean and fresh looking stock, good lighting etc.
However, in the context of what currently obtains around the world, there were way too many customers in the store.
Another downside for me was the uavailability of some items such as onions (for a while) and little choice in tissue hand towels. The price tags on some items were missing as well.
Not sure whether they were on break or what but some of the security staff on the outside were, if on duty, not paying much attention to their surroundings - too much bantering -
Notwithstanding the downsides I was pleased when I did not spend as much money as I was expecting to, since I got almost everything on my list.
I'll certainly be back here.

Poor parking accommodation, not enough spaces, not enough trolleys for customers, they have to wait in line to receive a trolly. This also occurs at the Spooner Hill Branch, Pricing is not as attractive as previous years, there is some.pricing that is higher than Massy Supermarkets. Be vigilant on expired merchandise, as it is not cleared from shelves frequently

Love the spacious supermarket and car park too. But I find I when I shop in the city branch I get out much faster than when I go to the out of city one's. But some of the best shopping prices you could want now in these hard times hope there can be even better.

Even during the COVID-19 mask wearing restrictions, shopping was quite easy on this Sunday afternoon. Not usually that easy especially when it's close to monthly paydays. Great (dare to say, best prices) in Barbados.

A wide array of groceries, quality brands, value for money, multiple deals and spacious interior definitely makes it a joy to shop at Popular Discounts.

The red onions missing for weeks, the shrimps brand changed, mozzarella cheese was missing for weeks, different cereal types missing, no avocado oil.

Nice place to purchase goods, you can find an adequate amount of different verities of an item, but very long queues and many counters are usually closed, also the cashiers are usually very slow to check the items, not good to purchase less than 10 items, as you gonna spend at least 30-45 minutes to cash the items and come out, but overall a nice place to purchase goods.

Has arguably become the chain's flagship supermarket. Very big and spacious supermarket for a country of the size of Barbados. Lots of staff, service from them is fairly good. A very wide variety of items available. There is also a pharmacy located inside the supermarket, the service is very good. Location wise, the supermarket is located just a few meters away from the islands main highway on the south coast and thus, more suitable for persons with cars. However, there is a regular bus service that operates infront the supermarket. The supermarket also has a shuttle. The supermarket tends to always be busy especially during the afternoon periods. Hence, this makes parking sometimes difficult although there is quite alot of parking.

This is a supermarket on the ground floor with household and cosmetic items on the first floor. There is also a restaurant on the first floor and ample seating arrangements to enjoy your meal. The grocery prices are good which mean, alot of the time, the lines are long. You have to estimate a suitable day in the month and time to avoid the long lines. The bargains, however, negate the line wait and you are almost always satisfied with your purchases. There is a fairly large parking area available, which unfortunately is full most of the time due to the bargains in store. Excellent place for grocery shopping if you are in the area and have time to spare.

Good supermarket, lowest prices on the island and recentlyalot of gluten items. However, the produce and poultry section are inconsistent. One day you can find good meats and veg, another day no meat and limited and spoilt veg and fruit.

This is my once a month grocers spot. Hardly disappointed by the choices and the prices are competitive. Go early or very late to avoid long waits in lines
